Advice on joining a web3 company, as a web3 engineer

Web3 career advice as an *insider*, this is a bad time to work for companies benefitting from crypto trade and speculation (Coinbase, smart exchanges like Celsius, speculative NFT projects).

However, the cost to join a DAO or start a DApp just fell down.

There ARE a lot of new entrants in the space. They're just silent because they're not interested in creating fake hype around their products, and don't benefit from it.

How can you, as an employee benefit from this?

- Keep an eye on web3 communities.
- Keep an eye on job boards like angel, search keywords like decentralisation instead of crypto

One technique is just the web2 check. Can a web2 company come along, offer something easier/cheaper and wipe out their userbase.
